Un giorno a pois
Grandi oppure piccoli, i pois sono per me elementi di grande raffinatezza. E’ molto tempo che non indosso abiti o accessori con questa fantasia. Ma oggi mi sono arrivati tantissimi segnali che parlano chiaro: è giunto il momento di rispolverarla.
Large or small, the polka dots are for me elements of great refinement. It's a while that I do not wear clothing or accessories with this fantasy. But today I received a lot of signs that are clear: it is time to dust it off.
Per cominciare, questa mattina appena ho aperto le email mi ha subito sedotto l’immagine di Sarah Paulson (credit foto Frazer Harrison) fotografata agli Emmy Awards 2014. Il portamento rigido, militaresco più che regale, dell’attrice statunitense, a prima vista sembrava stridere con la leggerezza dell’abito impreziosito da strati sovrapposti di tulle con micropois firmato Giorgio Armani Privé. In realtà, ho subito trovato questa dicotomia efficace e azzeccata, perché la forte personalità dell'attrice è addolcita proprio da questo motivo punteggiato; che a sua volta risulta meno sdolcinata.

Ho partecipato, nel pomeriggio, alla presentazione di un nuovo marchio italiano di piumini: Goose Feel. Ho provato il giacchino bluette a piccoli pois bianchi: soffice, leggerissimo e caldo, con tasche esterne e uno spazio interno per lo smartphone. L’imbottitura è fatta con la parte più pregiata della piuma d’oca, dall’elevato potere termico, e tutte le finiture sono fatte a mano. Fino al 13 settembre c’è un temporary store in via Sant’Andrea Milano. Poi la vendita sarà solo online.

A fine giornata, sono tornata a casa a piedi, cosa che faccio spesso per curiosare per le vie di Milano. Ed ecco che in Corso Como mi colpisce la sciarpa esposta in una vetrina: nera con maxi pois bianchi. Trovo che starebbe d’incanto con quello che indosso oggi: blusa di garza di seta arricchita da volant e pantaloni in rasatello di cotone dal taglio sportivo, su stivaletti di tela. Immagino che sia chiara una cosa: mi piacciono i contrasti che rivelano armonie sorprendenti.
I returned home on foot, which I do often through the streets of Milan. And here in Corso Como strikes me the scarf displayed in a showcase blacl with big white polka dots. I think that is enchanted with what I'm wearing today: silk gauze blouse embellished with ruffles and cotton sateen trousers sporty on canvas booties. I guess it's clear one thing: I like the contrasts that reveal surprising harmonies.
Arrivata a casa, dopo cena ho sfogliato alcune riviste. Ed eccoli lì, altri pois. La foto è della campagna pubblicitaria di Prada. L’abito è nero punteggiato da piccoli e fitti cerchietti bianchi. Un vestito che trovo particolarmente grintoso e raffinato per i profili marroni dei bordi della scollatura a cascata, e quelli degli inserti che disegnano vita e fianchi.
Turned back home, after dinner I browse some magazines. And there they were are other polka dots. The photo is of the Prada advertising. The black dress is dotted with small and dense white circles. A dress that I find particularly gritty and stylish for brown edges of neckline and inserts that form waist and hips.
