The hat's sex

Today I touched my first Doria 1905's hats. Before, l had seen them only in pictures. They are precious accessories, with clean lines and, finally, I could see that materials are really valuable and they are made with accurate processing. This Maglie's company this year celebrates 110 years, and for this important milestone has produced an original limited edition: three models built in just 1,905 copies. I hit those in these photos. When I took one of these hats to wear it, in the show room someone noticed me that I had taken a man's model. And they explained to me that when the models are designed for men and women, the artisans that create them with their own hands provides some tweaking to make them fit one or other sex. These small changes are imperceptible and really improve the fit. However, in order to recognize which of the two sexes is bound the hat, we must be careful to see where is the hat's decoration: whether it is on the right the hat is for women, whether it is on the left is male.
